Mike is a double ostomate, due to a stage 4 colorectal cancer diagnosis in the fall of 2008. Mike recently retired and spends his free time golfing, playing tennis, biking and traveling. Mike and his wife are actively involved in fundraising for colon cancer research through the MKCCR foundation. Mike also speaks to groups regarding living with ostomies and volunteers with cancer patients to help them cope with the cancer journey, including the effects of surgery, chemo and radiation
