She serves as a member on the board of trustees for the Mideast Region Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society. Her role as a WOCN nurse also includes teaching at the Rupert B Turnbull's School of WOCN Nursing and she is a regular contributor to Phoenix magazine, the official publication of the United Ostomy Associations of America.
